Afterbody refers to the rear section of an aircraft responsible for stability and directional control. Borrowing this aeronautical term, the performance also imagines an after-body: a body extending beyond its physical boundaries into an invisible electromagnetic environment. The performer's body reaches beyond itself, imagining forms of existence that remain imperceptible, as well as possible futures and pasts.

 Throughout the performance, Wi-Fi signals continuously circulate through the space. Custom-built devices detect fluctuations in signal strength and trigger pre-composed sounds, making an otherwise imperceptible electromagnetic environment audible. As the performer, audiences, architecture, weather, and other material conditions continuously reshape the wireless field, the performance space itself becomes an invisible choreography. Rather than treating Wi-Fi as a communication technology, Afterbody approaches it as an environment where bodies continuously affect one another. Within this landscape, the performer resonates with invisible frequencies while imagining migratory birds and other species that navigate through electromagnetic fields, as well as signals travelling beyond the Earth.
